Entry Nine: Wednesday, June 16, 2004
Last night, we went by the Senior postings for the Senior Division Finalists and found out that Midas' Touch had made it to finals, but Kayla had not. That was a very bittersweet moment. How can one be overjoyed and depressed all at once? Our entourage went out for dessert at Plato's Diner anyhow. Signing out—Agent 520
Entry Ten: Wednesday, June 16, 2004
As far as today goes, I was the true traveling tourist, with my camera, sunshades, "Terps" t-shirt, black purse, shorts, and flip flops. I swear the natives have problems, for they see nothing wrong with going around in long-sleeved shirts and pants, tennis shoes and baseball caps in 92-degree-Fahrenheit, one-hundred-percent-humidity weather! Midas' Touch had their final performance today at 0830. Signing out—Agent 520
Entry Eleven: Thursday, June 17, 2004
As for their last performance, Amy, Emmett, Melissa, and Sam did great"their best performance, I think, by far! After them, we watched a few fairly good (and a couple embarrassing) group dramas. This weather is awesome. Today, according to the weatherman, we have 100 percent humidity at seventy-three degrees Fahrenheit. Side note: the Caravan my dad is driving had four miles on it when we entered in, and now it has 326 miles on it!
At about 1350 this afternoon, the Rankins, my family, and I crowded in one Caravan to search for parking spots in order to ride the subway. Well, I can tell you, we did not find even one—so we came back to the college campus to ride the University of Maryland's Shuttle Bus to one of the stations. Signing out—Agent 520
