1 Corinthians 13:13
But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

Alice Snider chose to attend Academy Northwest for several reasons. First, her mother has
an adult foster care business, and Alice wanted to help with the care of the
residents living in her home. Second, her friend Claudio attends, and he told
her it was a lot of fun. He was right! Finally, she gets to graduate early.
Alice is not sure what she will do in the near future, so she is putting everything
in the hands of God because she is sure that He will help her make the right
decision.

became a Running Start student at Skagit Valley College. There she studied
music theory and piano for two years. With this education, she is working
toward a piano teaching certificate from the Music Teacher's National Association.
In addition to her academic activities she likes to run, play soccer, and

Aaron Strohbach 's homeschooling schedule has made it possible for him to travel, perhaps
more than the typical student. He has been fortunate to see many parts of
the United States, from Florida to Alaska to California. In fact, he just
returned from a cross-country car trip from New York State to Washington.
Since his favorite subject is history, what better way to learn than embedding
the facts deeply into the mind first hand? He also enjoys a variety of sports,
plays several musical instruments, backpacks and attempts climbing mountains
when time allows. He was a starter and lettered in varsity soccer and basketball
the past two years. Aaron is in Running Start and plans to complete his Associate
of Arts degree at Centralia City College before going on to Moody Bible Institute
in Chicago, Illinois to study and work in youth ministries.

Daniel Sumandea has four sisters and a brother who are all older. One sister is a French teacher
in Canada, two are nurses, and one sister is a hairstylist. His brother just
graduated from high school, so he's working for now. Danni's school experience
has been more successful since enrolling with Academy Northwest; he actually
goes to school and gets his work done. The best part about school is that
it is a Christian school, which has encouraged him in his walk with God. Danni
wants to be an auto mechanic because he loves to work on cars. While he has
learned a lot on his own, he credits his father with teaching him much of
what he knows about cars.

excited to enroll. She wanted a one-on-one learning environment, and the independent

for the future. She enjoys working in retail and can't wait to learn more
about it. Eventually, Daniela wants to major in business management and become
a buyer for a retail store. She is looking forward to the years ahead and
the challenges. But most of all, Daniela can't wait to see what God has planned
for her!

Georgiana Vidican came to the United States when she was two. In 2002 she was able to return
to Romania for a visit. She didn't remember many of her cousins, aunts, and
uncles, but it was a great time of reuniting. Romania was very different from
the United States. People walk everywhere, they wear weird, colorful clothes
and at night there are bright colorful lights, food, drinks, disco balls,
loud music, and laser lights that make one forget any troubles. Georgianna,
who has very little patience, has been waiting to graduate since elementary
school. She plans to wait a year before going on to college so that she can
work and save money so she won't have to worry about paying for her education.
While not decided, Georgianna is considering nursing—a field in which she
can make a decent living helping others.

Abraham Villarreal came to Academy Northwest because he was having problems in his previous school.
Most of his classes had 30 kids or more in them. It was hard to listen to
the teacher with everyone talking around him, and when the other kids skipped
class he did too, because it was the cool thing to do. He was getting poor
grades and needed major help. That's when his friend told him about Academy
Northwest, so he looked into enrolling, and here he is graduating on time
with the class of 2004. Abraham plans to enlist in the Marines for four years,
which will help pay for some of his college. His only concern in life so far
is having to go to war, but if he has to, he will suit up and do what he has
been trained to do.

Daniel Wright has been attending Academy Northwest for less than a year, but the independent
learning structure of the school has enabled her to graduate a year early.
She enjoys cars—working on them and looking at them, especially the Mustang
GT she purchased last July. She describes herself as a typical teenager, studying
and working during the week and spending time goofing around with her friends
on the weekends. Because she is so young, Courtney plans to attend a local
community college for a couple of years before transferring to Pepperdine
or the University of California in Santa Cruz.
