Dominique Kandt attended South Seattle Learning Center for six years. Highlights of that time include: Worldview Academy, a Montana Mission trip, volunteering at a hospital, completing three years of History Day, visiting Washington D. C. and Countless novel studies. Playing piano, swimming, watercolor, pottery, swing dancing, wrestling with her dog, and watching the sunrise over the Cascades are some activities Dominique enjoys. Grazie, Mom and Dad for providing a unique learning experience. Thanks to Candice for many opportunities to jump a high bar! In the fall, Dominique will attend the University of Washington with the goal of becoming a clinical pharmacologist.

Ashley Kelley rides horses, hikes, hangs out with friends, listens to country music and loves to work. She started her own landscaping and yard maintenance business at the age of sixteen. Ashley looks forward to completing school so that she can focus her full attention on her business

Andrew Knebel attended Bellevue Community College through the Running Start program for his junior and senior year of high school. His passion and form of entertainment is Martial Arts. He's been training for six years and earned his Black Belt in Karate two years ago. He plans to test for second degree Black Belt this October. Karate West has employed Andrew for the past two years as a Teacher's Assistant and has given him a one thousand dollar scholarship for college. He plans to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in sales and marketing. Eventually Andrew would like to run his own business.

Kelsey Knudsvig has attended the Lewis County Learning Center for four years and has enjoyed all the adventurous field trips and her amazing teachers' commitment and love. She works part-time at a drive through espresso stand that her family owns. In her spare time Kelsey loves to sing and lead worship with her family at their church for the youth group, ride her horses, write poetry, and enjoy the outdoors. Her favorite pet is a cat named Gracie, which she received from her best friend Amy. Kelsey is currently undecided about college.

David Kunz is the oldest of six children. He enjoys spending time with friends, reading science fiction or fantasy books, and playing his viola. He is actively involved in many 4-H clubs such as archery, Know Your Government, and Mechanical Science. David is currently working in an engineering internship program that involves designing, constructing, and testing an underwater survey vehicle for Battelle Laboratories. He has also volunteered for two summers at the Keyport Naval Undersea Museum. His career goals include going to college to become either a mechanical or aerospace engineer. His ultimate dream job is to work for NASA.

Kjersti Kravik has many interests, including showing her dog and riding horses. She has been involved in Shakespearean drama for the past three years. She participated in two mission trips with her church: one to Mexico and another to Alaska, earned her Silver Award in Girl Scouts, is active in 4-H, was a finalist in the 4-H Public Presentation competition, and a Reserve champion in dog Bowl two years in a row. Her passion is art and she designed the logo for the Northwest Art Center. Kjersti has been accepted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and been awarded an academic scholarship. Her hope for the future is to earn a degree in industrial design.

Lena Krulikovskaya just wanted to finish high school when she first came to Academy Northwest. But with the encouragement of her teacher she changed her study habits so that she could continue on to college. Alena speaks highly of her teacher saying, "She is the nicest, sweetest person I ever have known. Anyone could only wish to learn from her. I asked Christ to be my savior when everything in my life was falling apart. I came to see Penny that day and she prayed for me. She held my hands and seemed to know what was going on in my life. I asked God for help and He put everything in its place."

Gabriel Lawrence enjoys outdoor activities such as backpacking, volleyball, basketball, and bicycling the 206 mile Seattle to Portland bike ride. He has worked in overseas missions in Trinidad, Mexico, Spain and Morocco. This fall he will attend a technical college pursuing aviation mechanics with a possibility of using his skills in missionary aviation. Encouragement has been key to Gabe's success. He gives a heart felt thanks to his family, teachers, and Christian adults in his life. Gabe is known for loving Jesus, caring for and serving others, and leading people in worship through scripture and playing guitar.

Chelsea Larsen works full-time at Messenger House and enjoys spending time with her friends. Further educational plans include community college and then a transfer to Oregon State University to major in business marketing. She would like to thank her parents for pushing her to succeed.

Ian Larson plans to attend a university to pursue a degree in Political Science. In his free time, he enjoys writing, playing piano, and cutting people's hair. Ian wants to thank his teacher, Cheryl Perron, for all her love and academic support these past four years, especially in the last six months. Last, he wants to thank his parents and family for showing him a different way to live.

Emily Lund has been "wired" artistically since birth. When she was only two her dad named "Emmy La Femmy," having observe her creative application of baby food on the high chair. Since a ballet class in kindergarten, through her more recent achievements in piano and painting, she has always expressed an artistic flair and interest in interior design. Emily has been inducted into the National Honor Roll and was a National Merit Scholarship contender. During her senior year she participated in the running Start program at Edmonds Community College; this fall she begins classes at Seattle Pacific University.

Philip Massey has enjoyed studying under Loren and Linda Krenelka. He has performed with much creativity and energy in several dramas, taught children's classes, and has served on mission teams traveling through India and Panama. He is a compassionate, young man with dreams of becoming an astronaut, actor, youth pastor, missionary, or whatever God has designed for him. Phil say's that his friends call him "Flip" and he borrows the saying from Mark Lowry, "It's not my fault; the world's not keeping up with me!" God rocks Flip's World!

Nathanael Mathews writes, "Others have written about themselves, thanking their family, friends, and teachers. This is admirable, and I too have nothing but the utmost thanks and fondness for those who have brought me up in the way I should go. Ye all that is I–the eclectic musician, the shrewd philosopher, the warrior-poet-in-training–is nothing when I think about my purpose. To fear God and keep His commandments is the whole duty of man, and I will do my duty; but I will also enjoy Him forever. I am Nathanael Mathews, and I am Jehovah's man. Soli Deo Gloria!"

Elizabeth McClafferty attended Columbia River Learning Center for three years. She volunteers as a Clark County Sheriff's Officer Explorer. She has enjoyed working in the Clark Country's Sheriff's fair booth, and at the Senior's and Law Enforcement Together luncheons. She will be attending Clark Community College in the fall and will transfer to Washington State University to complete her pre-law degree. She hopes to be a prosecuting attorney.

Ashlee McGlinchy has been surrounded by amazing people these past two years at Academy Northwest. Completing high school has brought her closer to achieving her life long goal of becoming a registered nurse. Ashlee wants to thank her mom, dad, family, and friends for their never-ending support and encouragement.

Katie Merritt is a very industrious young woman. Although this is her first and final year at Choice learning Center in Redmond, she enjoys school very much. Not only does Katie attend school but she also works thirty or more hours a week at Billy McHales and ExpressOConnection. She is buying her own car, a 2001 Jetta, which she plans to use commuting to college each day in the fall. She is interested in being an attorney or majoring in Hotel Management.

Casey Miller is graduating from both Academy Northwest and Monroe High School. Casey works at Braithborn Academy Daycare and will continue to pursue a career in childcare. Casey loves snowboarding, swimming, jet skiing, taking long drives, hanging out with friends and relaxing. Casey thanks her mom, dad, family, and friends for their love, support, and encouragement through the years.

Grace Moser attended Choice Learning Center for four years and has learned many life lessons through the enjoyable and challenging classes. She enjoys equestrian pursuits and all areas of musical ministry. During mission trips to Mexico and New Orleans she discovered her calling and passion for youth. In the fall she will begin her studies in Christian Education and Vocal performance at Seattle Pacific University. She hopes to use her college education for Christ. Grace thanks her family, friends, pastors, leaders, and teachers for guiding her to God's righteous path.

Daniel Morsett is Chipawa, Nook Sak, Cree, and his mother is Suquamish. He has been very involved in the Salish Culture and is an apprentice to a Master Carver and is very good at what he does. He has taught the tribal song and dance to children at the Early Learning Center and carved a canoe paddle for each one of them. He is a true artist. He has been a mentor at the Suquamish Youth Center and has also been on the Youth Council. Daniel has been to many Leadership Conferences, and on four canoe journeys. He has a calming spirit, and is one of those with a very sincere and sweet heart. Daniel wants to express his gratefulness to all who have mentored him, and helped him on his life's journey and seen him through to his graduation.

Jaclyn Neighbors has been playing classical piano for the past ten years. She has been in many recitals and competitions over the years. She is a member of the Washington State Music Teachers Association and teaches piano. She loves being with her friends, watching movies, and listening to music. Her favorite animals are cats and she has one named Coconut. Jackie plans to attend Northwest University next fall where she plans to major in music so that she can teach piano full-time.

Jacob Noble is happy to see his hard work over the past four years finally pay off. Jake will now be pursuing his lifelong love of music and is excited to see what else his Savior, Jesus Christ, has planned for him. He would like to say thank you to those who have stood by him through difficult times and who have been such a great support.

Jessica Ormerod hails from Poulsbo and is active in her church. She has served the community by participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, a Coat and Blanket Drive and two separate mission trips. Jessica, an accomplished musician, is a member of the Homeschool Honors Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble performing at such distinguished events as the Abbottsford Music Festival, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and most recently the Central Washington University's Invitational Music Festival. Jessica plans to attend Olympic College in preparation for a career in Massage and Physical Therapy.

Jacquelynn Orr is in the Running Start program at Olympic Community College and will be finishing her Associates of Arts and Science degree by the end of August. She will continue on to a four-year university to work towards a degree in Business Administration. Jessica spends her free time helping her Mom care for their dogs and family members when her father, who is in the military, is away from home. She thanks her father, mother, younger sister, and all her friends who have always supported her through all of the ups and downs.

Tracy Orsborn recently gave birth to a baby girl who is now a big part of her life. This fall Tracy plans to continue her education by attending college to pursue a degree in the medical field so that she can support her daughter and herself. Tracy thanks her mom for her never-ending support and encouragement. She also thanks her teacher for her encouragement and patience. As she completes high school, she is optimistic that her life will be bountiful.
