Family Academy maintains an extensive network of Teacher/Consultants with individual learning centers dedicated to serving their local communities. While parents maintain control of their children’s learning, the teacher acts as a guide and challenges the student to achieve academic excellence.

Becoming a teacher under the Family Academy umbrella provides professionals the opportunity to hone their entrepreneurial skills while providing a unique academic environment for students and parents. Along with weekly learning center activities for enrolled students, many teachers develop a menu of services for non-enrolled homeschoolers who need some help. Some of these services might include:

  • Testing and assessments
  • Learning style analysis
  • Educational consulting
  • Educational workshops
  • Homeschooling seminars

Because Family Academy teachers are independent contractors, they learn new skills for improving services while building their businesses. Family Academy offers in-service workshops to Teacher/Consultants. Some of the topics include:

  • Time management
  • Independent Contracting 101
  • Unit Studies
  • Useful Computer Applications for Educators
  • Teaching Subjects Outside Your Training
  • Analyzing Learning Styles
  • Testing and Assessments
  • Helping Students with the college application process.

The Family Academy teacher becomes a Teacher/Consultant who advises, guides, and supports parents and students in home-centered learning.
